There better not be onions in that guacamole, because The Rad Carpet is back to dip a chip into three more films from writer/director Nicole Holofcener!
Thom, Whalen, and CJ5000 watch and discuss Holofcener’s 2006 film Friends With Money, her 2010 film Please Give, and her acclaimed 2013 film Enough Said, pairing Julia Louis Dreyfus and James Gandolfini, before wrapping up the month with a big-picture look at Holofcener’s work in the Wall to Wall Carpet segment. But first, enjoy a brand new “In or Out”, where your Carpeteers unfurl some takes on the work of Luke Wilson and Chris Pratt.
Please give your takes on these films in the comment section below, on Twitter, and on our Facebook page. And do check out our viewing schedule for the remainder 2017. We’re bracing ourselves to leave Holofcener’s quiet adult dramas behind to confront the challenging work of German filmmaker Werner Herzog, beginning next episode with 1972’s Aquirre, the Wrath of God and 1974’s The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser.
If you’re looking for ways to contribute to the pod and help us continue to unfurl the Carpet with pride, head over to our pages on iTunes and Stitcher and throw us a rating and review–we’d really appreciate it.
Happy listening and happy viewing… stay rad!
